Apacer's Smart Read Refresh™ technology is designed to mitigate read disturbances in NAND Flash memory. When the SSD detects that either the number of ECC correction bits in a block or the cumulative read count has reached a predefined threshold, Smart Read Refresh™ activates. This technology helps maintain the integrity of all blocks by dynamically relocating data and refreshing the information within the original block, ensuring the SSD's continued reliability and data health.

Smart Read Refresh™: Avoids read disturb affecting data reliability

Apacer’s Smart Read Refresh™ plays a proactive role in avoiding read disturb errors from occurring to ensure health status of all blocks of NAND flash. Developed for read-intensive applications in particular, Smart Read Refresh™ is employed to make sure that blocks with a high number of errors can be removed and refreshed for further read operations.

Recommended for read-intensive applications

In the gaming industry, manufacturers often design and build gaming machines that focus heavily on read-intensive operations. The same is true for certain POS machines and industrial computing applications. Many manufacturers of devices in these industries have found that Smart Read Refresh™ can extend the expected operational lifetime of their products.
