Brand and corporate governance

Apacer ranks in the top 5% on Corporate Governance Evaluation for two consecutive years.
In 2022, Apacer was honored with Taiwan Excellence Award for 14 consecutive years, with more than 50 award-winning works.
In 2022, Apacer was shortlisted for the best Taiwan international brand for 5 consecutive years and awarded the honor of "Emerging Brand."
In 2022, Apacer was honored with a TCSA Taiwan Sustainability Report Award (Electronic Information Industry Category) - Gold Award (such honor has been received by Apacer for 4 consecutive years)
In 2022, Apacer was honored with the First Prize of the Elite Award in the category of Comprehensive Digital Transformation in the Manufacturing Industry.
In 2022, Apacer was honored with the Asia Golden Prize of the EE Award for one single technology.

Social

In 2022, a total of about NT$150,000 worth of electronic products were donated to three social welfare groups, namely Huashan Social Welfare Foundation, Love Life Cultural and Educational Foundation, and Mingxin Children's Development Center, as products in charity sales for the benefits of children.

"Apacer Family Day" events are held annually, and 880 people participated in such an event in 2022 (including family members of employees).

Environment

Hazardous industrial waste was reduced by 3% compared to that in 2021.
In 2022, an internal ESG educational training course was held, with a total of 38 employees from PM/ RD units participating in the training. The training was themed on sustainable circular design. Through the strategies of 6 major circular designs, employees were guided to change their design thinking, reduce resource waste, and increase recycling and reuse.
Since 2019, the Company has reduced the amount of packaging materials and cartons and trays/ cartons were recycled for reuse. Until 2022, 10,800 pieces (pcs) of packaging materials have been reduced, and 293,991 pieces of trays/ cartons have been recycled for reuse.
The factory office now uses LED lighting, saving about 7,256 kW/h of electricity annually.
Toilet sinks now adopt water-saving faucets, which can save about 60% of water consumption.

Internal ESG training courses

To cultivate the employees' awareness of ESG and help the employees to internalize such awareness as an action force for the Company's sustainable development, Apacer has helped ESG-related courses since 2021. In 2022, circular design courses for product-related units were conducted, with a total of 38 participants.

This data is based on statistics from 2022. All the wastes produced by Apacer are entrusted to qualified companies for handling who lawfully handle waste disposal off-site according to the disposal methods of various industrial wastes. No waste disposal is handled on-site.

*In 2021, due to the water-cooled air-conditioning equipment of the 1st to 7th floors being implemented, the total water withdrawal slightly increased.

**Apacer's water source is the Shimen Reservoir, which is a surface water source. The assessment confirms that the water does not originate from water-stressed areas. Apacer's production processes do not require water, so water consumption is limited to daily domestic use.
