The client is a system integrator specializing in the development and deployment of Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems for factory applications. The client manufactures AOI equipment that plays a vital role in verifying correct product assembly during the manufacturing process. Modern AOI devices are sophisticated enough to read text printed on circuit boards—such as manufacturer names, serial numbers, and production dates—while also reducing the labor costs associated with quality assurance. However, factories in certain regions frequently encounter unstable power networks and unexpected outages. AOI systems continuously record inspection images to SSDs, but in the event of a sudden power loss, volatile data not yet written to permanent memory may be corrupted or lost. This can necessitate product recertification once power is restored, ultimately leading to production delays, missed shipment deadlines, and financial setbacks.

Understanding the client’s requirements, Apacer highlighted the SV25P-25 SATA SSD, which adopts CorePower technology. CorePower integrates a detect-IC and tantalum capacitors that provide emergency backup energy when a sudden power loss occurs. This mechanism grants the SSD controller sufficient time to flush cached and essential data from DRAM into NAND flash, thereby preserving data integrity and preventing corruption.
